What will the world look like in 2124? It's hard to say, especially as digital tech grows at shocking rates every year, and experimental technology like A.I. has seemingly limitless potential. But back in 1924, people had their own ideas about what the future might look like, and they were both shockingly right and horrendously wrong. Paul Fairie, the author of a new book called The Press Gallery, which analyzes news headlines from the past took to Twitter to share these clippings showcasing what people thought might happen in the future. One of these clippings mentions music and shockingly predicts that artists might not even need to leave their own homes in the future. While this is completely true, the author's reasoning mentions people growing tired of traveling to concerts, and artists growing tired of the effort it takes to put them on. Based on the recent Eras and Renaissance tours, and the immense effort that went into both, I'd say that take is way off.
